Ingredients

  • rump or round roast
  • flour
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 8 oz. chopped tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Mix together allspice, small onion, and lemon juice.
  2. Rub the mixture on the roast, then pat with flour.
  3. Brown the roast on all sides in a hot skillet or oven-safe pan.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes around the roast.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 1/2 hours until the meat is tender.
