Ingredients

  • 8 oz. refrigerated crescent dough
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. butter, softened
  • 1/3 c. finely ground pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Unroll the refrigerated crescent dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet, forming two long rectangles.
  3. Overlap the long sides of the rectangles by 1/2 inch and press edges and perforations to seal.
  4. Roll the dough to form a 13 x 19-inch rectangle.
  5. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon.
  6. Blend in softened butter until well mixed.
  7. Spread the brown sugar mixture over half of the lengthwise dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border.
  8. Sprinkle ground pecans or walnuts over the sugar spread.
  9. Fold the dough in half lengthwise over the filling, pressing edges with a fork to seal.
  10. Brush the top with milk and sprinkle with additional brown sugar.
  11. Bake for 16 to 20 minutes, until golden brown.
  12. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing into strips and serving.
