Ingredients

  • 1 cup soft butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups crisp rice cereal

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine butter with shredded Cheddar cheese.
  2. Blend in all-purpose flour and a dash of cayenne pepper.
  3. Mix in crispy rice cereal until well combined.
  4. Press the mixture into a buttered 8 or 9-inch cake pan.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 to 20 minutes until crisp and golden.
  6. Cool the mixture, then cut into bars.
