Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • a dash of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans fruit filling

Instructions

  1. Sift together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Cut in the egg and margarine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the fruit filling in a baking dish.
  4. Bake at 450°F for 20 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  5. Serve warm or cold with a dollop of Cool Whip topping.
