Ingredients

  • 1 c. uncooked rice
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. bell pepper
  • 2 cans consomme
  • 3/4 Tbsp. cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. bacon fat

Instructions

  1. Saute onion, bell pepper, and rice in bacon fat until brown.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
  3. Turn heat down and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes, covered.
