Ingredients

  • 1 pint cottage cheese
  • 1/2 pound margarine
  • 2 cups flour
  • sugar
  • cinnamon
  • 1 box currants
  • 1/4 cup butter

Instructions

  1. Mix cottage cheese, margarine, and flour and chill overnight.
  2. Divide the dough into three parts.
  3. Roll each part into a rectangle thicker than pie crust.
  4. Sprinkle sugar, cinnamon, and one-third of the currants over each piece of dough, then dot with butter.
  5. Roll each piece like a jelly roll.
  6. Flatten the top of each roll slightly with a rolling pin.
  7. Bake at 350° to 375°F for 15 to 20 minutes.
