Ingredients

  • 5 cups shredded cabbage
  • 4 teaspoons melted butter
  • 4 teaspoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon curry powder
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Cook shredded cabbage in boiling salted water for 10 to 15 minutes, then drain.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  3. Add the flour, salt, and curry powder to the melted butter and stir to combine.
  4. Gradually add milk while stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
  5. Cook and stir until the mixture thickens.
  6. Pour the sauce over the drained, cooked cabbage and serve.
