Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 3 cups coarsely crumbled bread
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp. ground sage
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil or shortening in a skillet.
  2. Add the coarsely crumbled bread, seasonings, and chopped onion; stir and brown lightly on the stove.
  3. Beat the eggs and add them to the mixture.
  4. Add milk to make a mushy batter.
  5. Cook until fairly dry.
  6. A little sugar may be added if desired.
