Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. canned pumpkin
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground mace
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp. ground allspice

Instructions

  1. Separate eggs, placing yolks in a large bowl.
  2. Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Beat egg yolks.
  5. Add sugar, milk, flour, pumpkin and spices to the yolks.
  6. Blend thoroughly.
  7. Fold the mixture gently into the beaten egg whites.
  8. Cover the cake with the custard topping.
