Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage, cut bite size
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pound ground round
  • 1/2 pound hot sausage
  • 1 quart canned tomatoes
  • 16 ounces can tomato paste
  • 1 can celery soup
  • small amount garlic powder
  • few sprinkles oregano

Instructions

  1. Boil cabbage, onion, water, salt, and pepper for 15 minutes.
  2. Brown ground round and hot sausage.
  3. Add canned tomatoes, tomato paste, celery soup, garlic powder, and oregano to the meats.
  4. Stir the cooked mixture into the boiled cabbage and cook until the cabbage is tender.
  5. Serve over cornbread.
