- Partially bake the pie crust and cool about 15 minutes before filling.
- Combine butter and chocolate in a heavy saucepan over low heat; cook, stirring occasionally, until melted.
- Remove from heat to cool.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, lightly beat the eggs.
- Add the sugar, flour, and salt.
- Beat until well blended.
- Add the cooled chocolate mixture and vanilla.
- Stir until smooth.
