Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 lb. catfish fillets
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 6 oz. tomato sauce
  • sliced hot peppers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a 10 to 12-inch frying pan; sauté onion until translucent.
  2. Layer catfish fillets over the sautéed onion; sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Cover with tomato sauce and add hot peppers if desired.
  4. Cover and simmer for 10 to 20 minutes until the catfish reaches desired texture.
