Ingredients

  • 1 lb stew beef
  • 1 package Astor stew mix
  • 1 can baby carrots
  • 1 can green beans
  • 1 can sliced small potatoes

Instructions

  1. Remove any excess fat from stew beef and slice into small thin pieces.
  2. Brown the beef in a pan, adding a little meat tenderizer. Strain the fat out.
  3. Add the recommended amount of water from the mix packet.
  4. Drain carrots, green beans, and sliced small potatoes.
  5. Add the stew mix, drained vegetables, and sliced potatoes to the beef.
  6. Stir slowly on medium heat for 10 minutes.
  7. Stir in 1 teaspoon each of Mrs. Dash spices.
  8. Set heat to the lowest possible boiling point, cover, and simmer for 1 hour, stirring every 10 minutes.
  9. Uncover and stir until the desired thickness is achieved.
