Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 large can B & B mushrooms
  • 1 cup raw rice
  • salt and pepper (optional)
  • 3/4 can beef consomme
  • 3/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped onion, chopped green pepper, and canned mushrooms for about 20 minutes.
  2. Add beef consomme, water, and raw rice to the sautéed vegetables.
  3. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes until the rice is cooked and flavors meld.
