Ingredients

  • 2 slices bacon
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 (15 1/2 oz.) cans Great Northern beans, drained

Instructions

  1. Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces.
  2. Cook bacon pieces for 3 to 4 minutes until partially cooked.
  3. Add chopped onion to the bacon and cook until onion is tender.
  4. Combine ketchup, white vinegar, water, prepared mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  5. Add the sauce mixture to the bacon and onion, stirring well.
  6. Add drained Great Northern beans to the mixture and stir to combine.
  7. Simmer, covered, for 15 to 20 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat, add Equal sweetener, and serve.
