Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 teaspoons Sucaryl solution
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 20 dates, cut in pieces
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange rind

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine and add eggs, orange juice, water, and Sucaryl solution.
  2. Combine dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture, mixing until blended.
  3. Pour the batter into two greased loaf pans and let stand for 20 minutes.
  4. Bake in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 55 minutes.
