Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 or 3 lb. chicken, cooked and boned
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1 stick oleo, melted
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 can cream of celery soup

Instructions

  1. Put boned chicken in a casserole dish.
  2. Place chopped celery over the chicken.
  3. Pour melted oleo over the chicken and celery.
  4. Mix flour and dry ingredients with the milk to make the batter.
  5. Pour the flour mixture over the chicken and celery.
  6. Mix the cream of celery soup with 1/4 cup chicken stock.
  7. Pour the soup mixture over the chicken and batter.
  8. Bake at 425°F for 50 minutes.
  9. Serve with green beans and corn.
