Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 tablespoon instant minced onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon soda
  • 2 teaspoons dill seed
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Warm cottage cheese; add remaining ingredients, mix and cover.
  3. Let stand until double in size, about 50 to 60 minutes.
  4. Punch down the dough.
  5. Place in a well-greased 1 1/2-quart round casserole or two small loaf pans.
  6. Let rise until light, about 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F until golden, about 40 to 50 minutes.
