Ingredients

  • 1 pkg dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 cup small curd cottage cheese
  • 2 tablespoons instant minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 teaspoons dill seed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon soda
  • 1 unbeaten egg
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • garlic butter

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Combine cottage cheese, sugar, minced onion, butter, dill seed, salt, soda, and unbeaten egg; add yeast mixture and beat until it forms a stiff dough.
  3. Cover and let rise until double in bulk, approximately 50 to 60 minutes.
  4. Pat down and turn into a well-greased tube pan.
  5. Let rise for an additional 30 to 40 minutes.
  6. Bake in a 350°F oven for 40 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and brush with garlic butter.
