Ingredients

  • 4 lb beef roast
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 envelope onion soup
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 pt sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp dill seed

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef roast in a small amount of oil over high heat.
  2. Place the browned roast in a Dutch oven over low heat.
  3. Mix the remaining ingredients (pepper, onion soup, salt, sour cream, dill seed) together.
  4. Pile the sour cream mixture on top of the roast.
  5. Simmer slowly for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, basting frequently with the gravy.
