- Brown the sausage in a skillet.
- Add chopped onions, green pepper, and chopped celery to the sausage and cook until vegetables are tender.
- Bring 9 cups of water to a boil in a large pot.
- Add uncooked rice and the chicken noodle soup packets to the boiling water.
- Bring the mixture back to a boil.
- Stir in the sausage and vegetable mixture.
- Add all remaining ingredients, including chicken cans and almonds.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake uncovered at 350°F for 40 minutes.
- After 40 minutes, uncover and bake for an additional 50 minutes until cooked through.
