Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • 3/4 cup instant oatmeal
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup tomato juice
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, ground pork, instant oatmeal, and beaten eggs in a large bowl.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients: milk, tomato juice, minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, and salt; blend well.
  3. Pack the mixture into a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan, shaping into a rounded top.
  4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.
  6. Drain off any excess juice before serving.
