Ingredients

  • 1 pkg hot dogs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp dry mustard
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except hot dogs and make a batter; add enough flour to make a stiff batter.
  2. Dry hot dogs and insert a small stick into each.
  3. Dip hot dogs into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
  4. Fry in deep hot oil until golden brown, then remove and drain.
