Ingredients

  • 8 pork chops
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. sage
  • 4 tart apples, cored and sliced
  • 1/2 c. seedless raisins
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour

Instructions

  1. Brown the pork chops in hot fat in a skillet; sprinkle with salt and sage.
  2. Place the browned chops in a baking dish.
  3. Top each chop with sliced tart apples, raisins, and brown sugar.
  4. Mix hot water with vinegar and flour to create a sauce, then pour over the chops and apples.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes, until the pork is tender.
