Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread
  • 10 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • dash of pepper
  • 8 oz. package Cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb. bacon

Instructions

  1. Butter slices of bread and decrust.
  2. Lay buttered side down in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. In a mixer or blender, beat eggs, milk, salt, dry mustard, and pepper.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread in the pan.
  5. Sprinkle cheese over the egg mixture.
  6. Place small pieces of uncooked bacon on top.
  7. Cover the dish and refrigerate overnight.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour before serving.
