Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Betty Crocker cherry chip cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 (21 oz.) cans cherry pie filling
  • 3/4 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
  • Vanilla Glaze (recipe follows)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix dry cherry chip cake mix with eggs and melted butter until smooth.
  3. Spread the batter into an ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Spread cherry pie filling evenly over the batter.
  5. Sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the cherry filling.
  6. Bake until golden brown, approximately 40 to 45 minutes.
  7. Cool for at least 15 minutes.
  8. Drizzle with vanilla glaze before serving.
  9. Serve warm or cool.
