Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
  • 2 drops Tabasco
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 cups baked beans
  • 4 slices bacon

Instructions

  1. Melt butter or margarine in a skillet.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook over medium heat until soft, stirring occasionally.
  3. Blend in ketchup, molasses, Tabasco, brown sugar, salt, and dry mustard. Bring to a boil.
  4. Stir in baked beans.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a casserole dish.
  6. Lay bacon slices across the top of the beans.
  7. Bake at 375°F for about 20 minutes or until the bacon is cooked.
