Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 packet yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Stir in sugar, half of the flour, and the salt.
  3. Beat with a spoon until smooth.
  4. Add egg and oil, then mix well.
  5. Gradually add the remaining flour and beat until smooth.
  6. Cover the dough and let rise for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
  7. Stir down the dough and divide it into greased muffin cups, filling each half full.
  8. Let the dough rise until it reaches the top of the muffin cups.
  9. Bake until golden brown.
