Ingredients

  • 1 sliced carrot
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 stalk celery

Instructions

  1. Place dove in a large deep pot and cover with water.
  2. Add salt, sliced carrot, chopped onion, and stalk celery to the pot.
  3. Boil until dove is tender, about 2 hours.
  4. Remove dove and strain the broth.
  5. Mix biscuit dough as directed and pat out to 1/2-inch thickness.
  6. Cut the dough into 1 x 3-inch pieces.
  7. Drop the dumplings into the gently boiling broth.
  8. Boil gently for about 10 to 15 minutes until dumplings are cooked through.
  9. Cook a few dumplings at a time, if necessary.
