- Brown the doves in butter.
- Cook the doves covered with a small amount of water or bouillon until tender and the breast can be easily pulled off the bone.
- Saute the sliced mushrooms and chopped onions in butter until just soft.
- Combine the dove meat with the vegetables and olives, then add enough brown gravy mix to make the mixture juicy and moist but not too thin or runny.
- Spray PAM in a 9x13-inch Pyrex dish and spread the mixture evenly into the dish.
- Roll out the frozen pastry sheets quite thin and cut into strips.
- Arrange the pastry strips in a crisscross pattern over the mixture.
- Spray with PAM.
- Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
