Ingredients

  • 1 loaf day old bread
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup stock from the neck, heart, and gizzard

Instructions

  1. Fry the chopped onion and celery in 1/2 cup butter or margarine.
  2. Add the torn bread pieces to the fried vegetables.
  3. Mix in the salt, sage, pepper, beaten eggs, and stock.
  4. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
