Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Vanilla Wafers
  • 1 Cup Spanish Peanuts
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 1-8 oz. Cream Cheese
  • 1/3 Cup Peanut Butter
  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 4 Cups Whipped Topping
  • 2 Small Packages Instant Chocolate Pudding
  • 3 Cups Milk
  • 1 Small Chocolate Candy Bar

Instructions

  1. Mix crushed vanilla wafers, 2/3 cup crushed Spanish peanuts, melted butter, and press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish.

Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider using chocolate wafers instead of vanilla. If you don't have Spanish peanuts, roasted unsalted peanuts work well as a substitute. To easily crush the wafers, place them in a zip-top bag and use a rolling pin. Make sure the butter is fully melted to ensure a smooth consistency when mixing. This treat can be made ahead of time, just like an Icebox Fruit Cake Roll.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this delightful treat chilled, garnished with additional crushed peanuts or chocolate shavings for an extra touch. It pairs beautifully with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for added indulgence. For a complete dessert spread, consider including it alongside a slice of Granny'S Chocolate Cake From Scratch to impress your guests.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftover Drumstick Treat in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. To serve, simply cut into squares and enjoy cold. If you prefer a firmer texture, you can freeze it for up to one month, but make sure to thaw it in the refrigerator before serving to maintain creaminess.
