Ingredients

  • 1 flank steak (1 to 1 1/2 lb.)
  • 1 medium onion
  • fresh mushrooms as desired
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • garlic salt
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the flank steak into thirds lengthwise, then slice each third across the grain into very thin strips.
  2. Brown the meat in a large skillet with a small amount of margarine.
  3. Move the browned meat aside or remove from the skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté chopped onions and fresh mushrooms until tender.
  5. Add the can of cream of mushroom soup to the skillet and stir to combine.
  6. Stir in the sour cream, garlic salt, salt, and pepper to taste.
  7. Return the meat to the skillet and cook until heated through and flavors meld.
