- Crumble ground beef into a heavy skillet.
- Brown over medium heat until rich brown in color.
- Add the minced onion and continue to brown until the onion is transparent.
- Add the diced potatoes, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Add just enough water to barely cover the ingredients.
- Simmer gently until the potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
- Make a paste of two tablespoons of flour and 1/2 cup of water.
- When the potatoes are tender, add the flour and water mixture.
- Stir until the mixture thickens and starts to bubble again.
- Serve with hot buttered toast or biscuits.
