Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cabbage
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • water (from can of tomato soup)

Instructions

  1. Chop the cabbage and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the chopped cabbage in a greased 9x13 baking dish.
  3. Brown the ground beef with chopped onion, then drain the excess fat.
  4. Stir in uncooked rice into the beef and onion mixture.
  5. Spread the meat and rice mixture over the cabbage in the baking dish.
  6. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Pour the diluted tomato soup over the top of the casserole.
  8. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
