Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded reduced fat Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup nonfat Ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup cholesterol free egg product or 2 egg whites
  • 1/3 cup nonfat buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup low-fat sour cream
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Spray a cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Mix shredded Cheddar cheese, egg product, buttermilk, and sour cream in a large bowl.
  4. Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt until the dough leaves the sides of the bowl.
  5. Divide the dough into two halves.
  6. Turn each half onto a lightly floured surface; gently roll in flour to coat and shape into a ball.
  7. Pat or roll each ball into a 9-inch circle.
  8. Cut each circle into 6 wedges.
  9. Roll up each wedge, starting at the wide end, with points underneath.
  10. Place the rolls on the prepared cookie sheet and curve slightly.
  11. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Remove from the oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool.
