Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves or powder
  • 1/4 cup parsley flakes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 package frozen Birds Eye mixed vegetables
  • 1 pound egg noodles

Instructions

  1. Skin the whole chicken and place it in a pot with enough water to almost cover.
  2. Add diced onion, garlic, parsley flakes, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook for 15 minutes on high heat.
  4. Add frozen mixed vegetables to the pot.
  5. Cover and cook until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  6. Remove the chicken, pull off bones, cut into pieces, and return to the vegetable mixture.
  7. Add egg noodles and cook until tender.
  8. Stir in low-fat chicken or mushroom soup, adding enough milk or water to achieve a thick gravy consistency.
  9. Heat thoroughly before serving.
