Ingredients

  • 1 large fryer chicken
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Instructions

  1. Cook and debone the fryer chicken.
  2. Cut up the chicken and place in a large baking dish.
  3. Mix the cream of mushroom soup and chicken broth; heat until creamy.
  4. Add salt and pepper to the mixture; pour over the chicken.
  5. Mix flour, milk, and melted margarine to make the crust batter.
  6. Spoon the batter over the chicken mixture in the baking dish.
  7. Bake at 450°F until brown and bubbly, about 30 minutes.
