Ingredients

  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onion
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • sliced tomato (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Drain the fat and set the cooked meat aside.
  3. In a bowl, blend mayonnaise, milk, eggs, and cornstarch until smooth.
  4. Stir in the cooked meat, shredded cheese, sliced green onions, and pepper.
  5. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pastry shell.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown on top and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Garnish with sliced tomatoes before serving.
