Ingredients

  • 2 lb Ricotta cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • dash garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • pepper
  • 1 package wide egg noodles
  • 3/4 stick margarine

Instructions

  1. Make your own sauce with or without meat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ricotta, eggs, Parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, garlic powder, oregano, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. If your sauce has meatballs, remove about 4 from the sauce.
  4. Mash the meatballs and mix them into the ricotta mixture.
  5. Add 1/2 cup of sauce to the ricotta mixture and mix thoroughly.
  6. Cook the wide egg noodles for 4 minutes, then drain.
  7. Return the noodles to the pan and add margarine to prevent sticking. Mix well.
  8. Add 1 cup of sauce to the noodles and stir.
  9. In a large pan, pour 1 cup of sauce.
  10. Add the ricotta mixture to the noodles in the pan and mix well.
  11. Transfer the mixture to a lasagna pan.
  12. Spread some sauce on the bottom of the pan and spread evenly.
  13. Add a little more sauce on top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  14. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35 to 45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
