Ingredients

  • 7 lb pork shoulder roast
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 bottle chili powder
  • 1 can (28 oz) Las Palmas chili sauce
  • 1/2 can water
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • corn husks

Instructions

  1. Boil the pork until the meat shreds off the bone, which takes several hours.
  2. Place the flour in a large frypan and brown it.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool for approximately 20 minutes.
  4. Add chili powder to the browned flour.
  5. Mix in the chili sauce and minced garlic.
  6. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
  7. Add water and salt, then simmer for 5 minutes over low heat.
  8. Add the shredded pork and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
