Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/3 lb. sharp cheese
  • 1/3 c. shortening for frying

Instructions

  1. Make all measurements level.
  2. Beat eggs and combine with chopped onion, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Add cheese which has been cut into 1/4-inch cubes.
  4. Heat shortening in a frying pan.
  5. Dip spoonfuls of the mixture into hot shortening and drop in the pan.
  6. Fry until golden brown on both sides.
