Egg Drops For Soup

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • sprinkle of pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 3 Tbsp. grated cheese
  • 1/2 cup flour, sifted

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together well to form a sticky mixture, adding water if too thick.
  2. Spoon and press the mixture through a large-hole ladle strainer, pressing with the back of a tablespoon, to form drops.
  3. Drop the mixture into 8 to 10 cups of boiling chicken broth.
  4. Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes until the drops are cooked through.
  5. Serve hot.
