Ingredients

  • 12 eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups milk
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 cups seasoned croutons
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 lb bacon
  • chopped green pepper (optional)
  • chopped mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix together beaten eggs, milk, seasoned croutons, shredded cheddar cheese, minced onion, dry mustard, chopped green pepper (optional), and chopped mushrooms (optional).
  2. Refrigerate overnight in a covered dish.
  3. When ready to bake, pour the mixture into a lightly greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Top with fried and crumbled bacon.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 1 hour, until set and golden.
