Ingredients

  • 3 lb shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 green pepper shredded
  • 1/2 red bell pepper shredded
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 c vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 tsp celery seed
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 c cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Bring vegetable oil, sugar, dry mustard, celery seed, salt, pepper, and cider vinegar to a boil.
  2. Pour the hot mixture over the shredded cabbage, onion, and peppers.
  3. Let stand at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes.
  4. Cover and refrigerate before serving.
