Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and confectioners sugar together until smooth.
  2. Add the flour, salt, and vanilla; work with hands to mix until combined.
  3. Stir in the finely chopped nuts.
  4. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Form the chilled dough into small balls and place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. While warm, roll the cookies in confectioners sugar.
  8. Allow cookies to cool completely, then roll in confectioners sugar again.
