- Brown ground beef with chopped onion and chopped garlic in a skillet.
- Drain excess fat and add tomato sauce to the meat mixture. Simmer.
- Boil egg noodles until tender and drain.
- Add 2 tablespoons of butter, sour cream, and cottage cheese to the cooked noodles. Mix well.
- Layer the cooked noodles and meat sauce in a greased 13 x 9-inch casserole dish, ending with the meat sauce layer.
- Sprinkle grated Cheddar cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
