Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 8 oz. egg noodles
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. cottage cheese
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef with chopped onion and chopped garlic in a skillet.
  2. Drain excess fat and add tomato sauce to the meat mixture. Simmer.
  3. Boil egg noodles until tender and drain.
  4. Add 2 tablespoons of butter, sour cream, and cottage cheese to the cooked noodles. Mix well.
  5. Layer the cooked noodles and meat sauce in a greased 13 x 9-inch casserole dish, ending with the meat sauce layer.
  6. Sprinkle grated Cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
