Ingredients

  • 8 manicotti shells
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup Pecorino Romano grated cheese
  • 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • seasoning to taste

Instructions

  1. Use an 8 or 9 x 4-inch casserole dish.
  2. Cook manicotti shells according to package instructions.
  3. Saute ground beef in olive oil until browned.
  4. Mix the cooked beef thoroughly with beaten egg, grated Pecorino Romano, seasoned bread crumbs, chopped parsley, and seasonings to taste.
  5. Stuff the cooked manicotti shells with the beef mixture.
  6. Cover the bottom of the casserole with spaghetti sauce.
  7. Arrange the stuffed manicotti over the sauce and cover with remaining sauce.
  8. Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 30 minutes until heated through and bubbly.
