Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup flour
  • dash of salt
  • fruit

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in the baking pan.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add egg and milk to the dry mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the baking pan with melted butter.
  5. Drop in any kind of fruit on top of the batter.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 40 minutes or until the cake is brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
