Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. plain cornmeal
  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Put butter in a pan and place in the oven to melt.
  3. Mix all other ingredients and beat until smooth.
  4. Remove the pan from the oven.
  5. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 20 to 30 minutes.
